❓ What are the Skill evaluation levels in Zest?

When a Skill is evaluated in Zest (through a Review or from the Skills page), it is based on a standardized scale.

📊 The 6 evaluation levels

  1. Not measurable: the Skill has not yet been evaluated.
  1. Novice (1): the Employee is just starting and needs close support.
  1. Beginner (2): first foundations acquired, able to complete certain simple tasks.
  1. Competent (3): satisfactory mastery, can work autonomously on the Skill.
  1. High-performing (4): advanced mastery, the Skill is a real strength in the role.
  1. Expert (5): a reference on the subject, able to train and support other Employees.

⚠️ Important points to know

  • This scale is the Zest reference and remains consistent from one campaign to another.
  • Depending on the Review configuration, the evaluation can:
    • either be limited to the Review (no direct impact on the Skill record),
    • or update the actual progress of the Skill in the Employee’s portfolio.
