The AI Campaign Summary gives you the key results of a survey in just a few lines. It is generated automatically by Zest AI and takes less than 3 minutes to read. You immediately see what is going well, what needs your attention and which team to focus on first.
🧱 What is the AI Campaign Summary?
The AI Campaign Summary is a summary written in natural language. It is generated from the real data of your survey, during the campaign or when it closes.
It highlights the key points of your results:
- the lowest and highest scores,
- notable changes compared to the previous iteration,
- a summary of the comments,
- a prioritized list of topics to look into.
Two reading levels are available:

- understand the key points of your results in less than 2 minutes,
- identify the teams to focus on first,
- prepare a report for your leadership team without going through every chart,
- spot warning signals (stable low mood, work overload, disengagement of an entity), already worded and prioritized.

🔐 Prerequisites – Access and activation
No setup is required. The AI Campaign Summary is enabled by default for all clients.
All roles with access to a survey's results can see its summary: SuperAdmin, Location Admin, Department Admin, Manager, and any other role with access to the results. There are no specific access rights for this feature.

The summary covers the scope you are viewing: a manager therefore sees a summary adapted to their team's results.
🚀 Where can you find the summary?
1. From the left side menu, click Surveys. 2. Open the survey of your choice. 3. Go to the Detailed results page.
The summary appears at the top of the page, before the charts and the question-by-question results.
To switch from the summary of one iteration to the overall summary, select the period you want from the iteration selector on the results page.

📊 What does the summary contain?
The summary has two parts.
A three-paragraph overview
- The overall trend. Star questions are covered first: eNPS, Mood and <span style="color:red">Weather</span>.
- The comment summary. Respondents' comments are grouped by theme and summarized in one sentence.
- The positive points. What is working well in your results.
A "Where to dig first" list
This list contains 3 to 5 items. Each item combines a location, a department or a team with:
- the main signal observed,
- a concrete action to take in Zest.
The summary ends with a Take action button, which takes you to the Action Plan generated by Zest AI for this survey.

🔄 Comparison with the previous iteration
If a previous iteration of the same type exists, the summary automatically includes the changes.
Examples of wording:
- "+5 pts vs 2025",
- "down for the 2nd cycle in a row".
If this is your first survey of this type, the summary only covers the results of this survey. No error message is displayed.
🛡️ Confidentiality and anonymity
The summary is fully aggregated. No employee name ever appears.
Warning signals are worded collectively. For example: "7 employees show a stable low mood".
Comments are summarized by theme in one sentence. No comment is quoted word for word. Your respondents' anonymity is preserved.

⚙️ Collapse or show the summary
You can collapse the summary to go straight to your results.
- Click Collapse summary, at the top right of the block.
- A compact bar remains visible. It shows summary badges: number of points of attention, positive points, priority analyses and ready-to-use actions.
- To see the full summary again, click Show summary
The summary stays collapsed during your session. It is displayed in full again each time you log in.

🤝 From the summary to the Action Plan
The summary and the Action Plan are two complementary features:
- the summary tells you what happened: it is the diagnosis of your results,
- the Action Plan tells you what to do: it suggests personalized actions generated by Zest AI on the priorities detected.
To go from one to the other:
- at the bottom of the summary, the Take action button shows the number of actions generated and takes you to the Action Plan,
- on each "Where to dig first" item, a link shows the number of actions suggested on that specific topic.

👍 Give feedback on a summary
The summary is generated by a large language model (LLM) from the real data of your survey. It is designed to produce a factual, HR-focused summary. Like any automatically generated content, it may contain inaccuracies. A legal notice is displayed at the bottom of the summary as a reminder.
To report a useful or inaccurate summary:
- At the bottom of the summary block, click one of the two icons:
- 👍 if the summary seems useful and relevant,
- 👎 if the summary seems inaccurate or inappropriate.
- If you clicked 👎, a text field opens. Add details if you wish (optional, 300 characters max).
- Click <span style="color:red">Send report</span>.
Your feedback is sent to the Zest team to improve future summaries. It does not change the summary displayed.
💡 Tip: you can only give one piece of feedback per generated summary. Take the time to explain what seems inaccurate: your feedback will be more useful to the Zest team.
⚠️ Special cases
| Situation | What is displayed |
|---|---|
| Not enough respondents in the scope viewed | An explanatory message replaces the summary. No partial summary is generated, to protect anonymity. |
| Your template has no star questions (eNPS, Mood, Weather) | The summary adapts to the questions available. Missing questions are not mentioned. |
| The summary could not be generated | The message “The summary could not be generated. Please try again in a few moments." is displayed, with a Retry button. |
| The feature is disabled for your company | The summary block does not appear in the interface. |
📘 Good to know
- Export: the summary is only available in the web interface. It is not included in PPT, Excel or any other export format.
- Sharing: there is no "Copy" button. You can select and copy the summary text manually.
- Deactivation: like all features that use AI, the summary can be disabled from the Back Office by the Zest team. To request this, contact your CSM or the Care team
