Introduction

π How to Launch a Mood Request in Zest?
The Mood feature allows you to easily and regularly check the pulse of your teams through automated requests.
π Prerequisites β Access Rights
To launch a mood request automation in Zest, you must have the necessary permissions within your scope.
- If you do not see the automation option, contact your HR team or a Zest Super Administrator.
- HR and Super Administrators can refer to the article βModify permissionsβ to adjust access rights.
π Launch a Mood Automation
Step 1 β Access the Mood Module
- Log in to Zest.
- From the left-hand side menu, click Mood.
- Go to the Mood Automations section.
Step 2 β Define the Target
Select the populations concerned by the mood request:
- departments,
- locations,
- teams.
π The available options depend on the structure defined in your Smart Org.
Step 3 β Configure the Schedule
- Choose the start date.
- Define the frequency (e.g., weekly).
- If needed, select multiple days of the week.
- Specify the time the mood request will be sent.
Step 4 β Choose the Delivery Channel
Define through which channel(s) the mood request will be sent:
- π§ Email
- π Pop-up (if the employee is logged into the application)
Step 5 β Create Multiple Automations (Optional)
If you want to launch mood requests:
- at different times,
- for different scopes,
you can:
- Click the three dots at the top right of an existing automation.
- Select Duplicate.
- Adjust the target, frequency, date, time, and channel.
- Confirm with the Create button.

At any time, you can:
- disable an automation using the associated On / Off toggle,
- reactivate it later without losing the configuration.
π© How Employees Receive Mood Requests
Depending on the selected options, employees may receive:
- a mood request email (if email is enabled),
- a pop-up notification (if they are logged into Zest).
π Good to know:
If a Slack or Microsoft Teams integration is active, the mood request will also be sent through these channels.

Make sure to configure beforehand:
- low mood alerts,
- the recipients of these alerts,
- the designated contact person who will receive SOS alerts.
