📄 You can find more information on this below 👇
Updating Your User Base
Once you’ve completed your first user upload in Zest, you’ll need to update this user base as needed—whether it’s modifying your SmartOrg, or adding/removing employees.
Via the Back Office (manually)
→ For small, occasional changes (e.g. adding a new user, changing a user’s role, temporarily suspending a user, etc.)
Head to the page below for more info 👇
Via the Self-Service Excel Import
→ For bulk modifications
See the page below for more info 👇
Create and upload your users in bulk in Zest.
Via the SFTP Protocol
→ For semi-regular or regular bulk updates, the SFTP protocol allows you to autonomously upload your Excel file to a server, which will automatically import it into Zest.
If you wish to set up the SFTP protocol for your organization, please contact your dedicated CSM.
📄 More info on the SFTP protocol below 👇
Via SCIM
→ For regular and automated bulk updates, SCIM allows Zest to connect directly to your employee management system, so any updates made in your system are automatically reflected in Zest.
If you wish to set up SCIM for your organization, you first need to verify that your internal system supports this protocol. Then, contact your dedicated CSM for support.
Setting Up SSO
SSO (Single Sign-On) is a secure authentication method that allows your employees to log into Zest using existing credentials—such as their Microsoft 365 or Google account.
If you'd like to implement SSO for your organization, please contact your dedicated CSM.
To get started, you’ll need the following Zest information:
- Metadata URL: https://zestmeup.com/api2/saml2/metadata.xml
- Assertion URL: https://zestmeup.com/api2/saml2/assert
Once this is set up, you’ll be able to extract your identity provider metadata and upload it directly in the Zest Back Office under Global Settings > Configuration, along with the user mapping file.
You can use any value you like in the entityID of the assertion. To link this information with the users imported into Zest, you’ll need to add a sso_login field in your SFTP import files. This value must match the entityID sent by the SSO.
Integration with Microsoft Teams
If your organization uses Microsoft Teams, a Zest integration is now available. This will help boost employee adoption, increase participation, and accelerate your ROI.
Integration with Slack
Before you begin, make sure you have SuperAdmin access in Zest. This will allow you to access the Back Office and the “Integrations” section > Slack:
Learn the why, what, and how of integrating with Teams:
- Click the “Validate” button for the Slack integration.
- Follow the steps: confirm the integration and choose a public channel (Slack requires this for all external tools). We recommend selecting random. Don’t worry — we won’t use it!
Enjoy using Zest on Slack!
